Dr Jinane El Khoury obtained her Medical Doctorate from the American University of Beirut in 2009. She went on to pursue her dermatology residency training at the American University of Beirut medical center with an emphasis on general dermatology, dermatopathology and basic science. During her final year of training she attended a two month elective at the laboratory of stem cells dynamics of the EPFL (école polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland) headed by Professor Yann Barrandon.  During her stay she was trained in basic and advanced molecular biology, and was involved in a project aimed at studying the behavior of epithelial stem cells during wound healing on a murine model.


After her residency, she was awarded a one year scholarship from the College of medicine of the Hospitals in Paris (Bourse du collège de médecine des hôpitaux de Paris). She completed one year of advanced training at the Cochin Tarnier hospital in Paris in the field of cutaneous oncology, with an added exposure to the management of connective tissue diseases, bullous diseases, female genital mucous membrane diseases and skin ulcers. She was awarded a Diploma of Specialized Medical Training in October 2014 (DFMS, Diplôme de formation médicale spécialisée).


She is currently a clinical assistant professor at the dermatology department of the Lebanese American University Medical Center- Rizk Hospital and a clinical dermatologist at the Kesserwan Medical Center affiliated with AUBMC. Dr El Khoury is the author of numerous publications in the fields of general dermatology and dermatopathology. Her interest is in managing challenging medical dermatology cases as well as female genital mucosal diseases. 


Dr El Khoury joined The Skin Clinic in July 2016.
